HELLO!
It has been incredibly cold here and I was stressing about my training since I don't have a treadmill and the cold will freeze my lungs inducing asthma, BUT I made a friend at work and she gets me in the gym during lunch to use the treadmill. As a contractor I don't have access on my tag key thingy. Best part is - she is running/training for the same race in Richmond - how cool is that! - Thanks Suzanne! My asthma has been bugging me and my sister kicked me in the butt to go see a doctor so I have a docs appt Feb 21 to get that all straighten out. I'm up to 2.5 miles and I still have seven weeks. I'm not worried about getting up to 6 miles. I want to thank everyone for their donations and well wishes! Total donations to date: $350!!!! Jill has been training too and I know she can kick out 6 miles no problem. She rocks!

Troy and I have been enjoying being each other's fiancé - although we haven't used that "term" yet. My mom has been trying out "bride to be" over the phone while talking to me and it makes my eyes open really big. I guess I think it is a bit silly or perhaps I just like the engagement stage right now. No date set yet. I've been kicking around some ideas with Mom, Jill and close friends about color, dresses and tux - the fashionista in me! I have some anxiety particularly about my dad not being there for those moments you want him there during your wedding and that might take some time to work through. And Troy and I have been kicking around those ideas too. I've been bringing them up slowly so not to overwhelm him. HA-HA! He wants to be involved and help me plan and I think that is way cool!

Troy has been very, very busy with his work and work at house. He is re-finishing our office/guest room. I will have pics of that one day soon. This weekend we're going to sand floors. Then paint during the week. I've been helping him on little things but this week I started some major OT at work and haven't been as helpful on the room, but I do make great dinners and laundry!! :) The room is looking so good all primed and warm with the new installation. Thanks Troy!
